The Creative Process…
I make a range of functional and attractive earthenware pottery. Each design is unique and individual.
All of my pots are hand-thrown on the potters’ wheel at my workshop in Martock, Somerset, before biscuit firing in the kiln. Once cool, the pots are glazed in a tin glaze and decorated individually with colourful brushwork, using metallic oxides and ceramic stains. The pots are returned to the kiln for a second firing, maturing the glaze at 1065 degrees.
The pots are both decorative and functional.
Commissions are also undertaken. If you have a particular design or item you would like me to make for you then please get in touch.
